So I bought Garry's Mod and Counter Strike: Source yesterday. I love G mod, and havent got to play CS yet, but it seems good.
The only complaint I have is the lag when playing on online servers. But, it's bearable.

I'll post pics when I get the chance.

You're gonna want to download some large map packs and the PHX pack for GMod. CS:S is lots of fun, mostly when you play with bots. Pro-Tip: Terrorist are good at DE_ maps and have the best weapons, CT's are best at CS_ maps and have meh weapons.

i wouldn't play CS if you don't got some serriously good quick reaction skills. Because people literally sit on the game doing NOTHING but praticing. I was playing on a pro sever cause my friend invited me and if an enemy saw me for a second i'd get 1 shotted and killed. on the other hand. Garrys mod is very cool cause you can build so much stuff. i advice you download wiremod before you even start playing it

Garrys mod is a freebuild game* that uses half life 2's engine. By default you can build with most of the props from half life 2 plus a famous mod (that was created in like 2009) called PHX which garry added to the game by default. There are a bunch of severs out there but they're not all deathmatches. theres things like roleplays to deathmatches to survival! Besides the Physics failing (*cough* my contraption i've been working on for about 30 minutes flying away and breaking*cough*) and the lag its very good.

*The game can be modded to have more game types

Very fun game, but PHX isn't default, unless I'm missing something.

find a TTT (trouble in terrorist town) server there great fun if you understand the game mode

TTT is super fun and super annoying, depends who you're playing with. DarkRP servers, now those are fun. Get the Thief job, pickock, and keycracker. I did it today and I broke into some guy's gun warehosue and took EVERYTHING. He also had seven MEGA MONEY PRINTERS (COST EIGHT THOUSAND BUCKS EACH) which I helped myself to. It was fun until I got too greedy and cracked another door's code, walked right into his room along with his other two business partners. They all took shotguns to my head. Although I did get away with ~$12,000 worth of guns and ammo, he has those mega money printers, so I don't know how long it will take him to buy back stock.

You're always trying to start shit. I like single player more because it takes off the competitive tenseness of multiplayer. It's relaxing to just kill bots instead of fighting against real people.

okay, but you can't use unlock weps and you can't play mod maps nor can you actually have any amount of teamwork that really works
thats enough to make anyone not buy bf2 if that was a description

(also ever herd of coop its a start, not all online gaming has to be competitive even if there are other real people on the other side)
