Terraria is like a 2d version of Minecraft...but better. The world is randomly generated, and you get to create your own character.
You can craft, mine, explore, and fight off enemies.
This game reminds me of the legend of zelda and minecraft combine.
There are boss fights, armor, weaponry, and tons of hidden treasures.
I havent even got a good chance at playing the game (about 2 hours)
but from what I HAVE played, it's badass. Here is a screenie.

Me fighting demon eyes while defending my home form the deadliness of the night.

I'll be sure to upload more pics soon.
Originally the game costs 10 dollars from steam, but I managed to package together a lil free version
You will not recieve updates, but you can still play multiplayer and explore and build with friends. It's great.

I've got full copper armor, explored a floating island, have three NPCs in my town, have dug into the stone layer ...

Let it be known I am the dominant Terraria player of the forum.

Got my first blood moon ... my merchant was overtaken right before sunrise. I made one gold coin off of all the monster drops, but no amount of cash can compensate for my merchant's death. Sad

Yeah I've had 3 of those. Damn monsters swarm like crazy! Killed my merchant, and my nurse.

It's in the downloads section.
Just consider it as "borrowing the game" until you can buy it.
Besides, you can do everything you can with the bought version, only thing is
you wont receive future updates. Therefore I have to keep the topic updated by posting a new full version with every update
(if I can find one)

If that is really you ... then you've won the game :C

I don't believe you though. Very Happy Picture of yourself on top of a brick with nothing else in the picture to prove it is your character.

I'm a very skeptical person.

Bought the game, love it.
I have one small house, with no occupants yet except me and the stupid guide.
Haven't found any chests yet, but my quest continues.

You can't really "win" the game. You have to keep collecting resources and stuff. Yes there are bosses, however; There are still many dangers to avoid.
I currently have 5 homes, 4 occupied.

Updates soon.

@Meeger
btw, ill post that pic one second

They're rare. I've only found one before, and that was on a floating island.

@Gothboy, Damn it is you. :c

Also, multiplayer is fun. I looted 6 mana crystals, a piggy bank, three demonite ore, two golden chandeliers, some candles, and a Blade of Grass from this one server.
