I played this a month ago, the gameplay seemed solid and balanced. They've got a good game on their hands, but the tutorial part just pisses me off. No option to skip it, and you fail it the first five times. Still, pretty fun.

Project Zomboid is a zombie survival indie game with realistic elements you have to watch out for. For instance, Your player can be "panicked" if under sudden attack from a zombie, reducing your accuracy with guns. And injuries to certain limbs require rest and bandages to heal.
Project Zomboid is a "Hardcore" Game, meaning it resets if you die or fail. You currently cannot "fail" But you can die.
Heres a list of the features and planned features in the game. (Source: Project Zomboid website)
Personally, I like it, the game makes some pretty fun unscripted events happen because of your actions.
For instance: Once i ran inside a building to loot it, Unaware of how many zombies were piling up behind me. After i was done, I was walking to the door when i heard something hitting it, I looked out the window and saw a horde of zombies lined up behind the door. Options were short seeing the door was about to be busted open, I looked for some alternitive exits, there was none. So i used my loot to create some molotovs, opened the door and threw one outside. After most of them had burned, i realized it was a dumb idea, the sounds of the burning zombies attracted more. And the door was destoryed, i was corned in what was going to be the place where i died.

The game alpha can be bought for $7.99, buying it will include future updates, like minecraft.
Requires Desura to buy and play.

Surviving for more then a year, I suggest you go to the actual video instead of watching it through brick mania. It seems to load faster that way
