Steam games won't work.
I use a windows 7, and I recently downloaded Steam onto my computer. None of the games will work.
I tried playing TF2, but for some reason when I start the game, the screen goes black like the game is loading, but then it returns to my normal screen, and the game is closed.

Um...I'm not really sure about this stuff....but which one is the specs? The information under the system tab?
Re: Steam games won't work.
Try checking your cache files just right click the game in your steam library and click verify cache files. If that doesnt work then go here and search for the individual problem yourself [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] . hope this helps

Re: Steam games won't work.
Pretty much as simple as I said.
I open steam and try to run a game from there. For example, TF2.
I click the play button, and it says that it is processing the game or whatever, the thing that it says before the game starts. Then, after that my screen practically turns black, and I mean the kind of black when a full screen game is about to run or load on your computer.
Then it goes poof, and the game doesn't run at all. I mean, I can try it again, but it's the same result. :l
Kinda frustrating. e.e
It's not only TF2 though, my brother bought me Magicka for no reason, so I tried to play Magicka and the same thing happened.

Maybe more than a few minutes?
If not, it could be your internet connection that's interfering due to low or incorrect connectivity.

Re: Steam games won't work.
There's no way it's internet connection. I always play MMOs, and it's never done that before. e.e And plus, even if I do wait, the game itself closes entirely. It's not like it's still loading. It's closed. D;Learn your ABC's with S7 wrote:Dokiix wrote:Learn your ABC's with S7 wrote:Dokiix wrote:Pretty much as simple as I said.

Re: Steam games won't work.
Try deleting then downloading it again, making sure it's downloaded correctly, in the right format, in the right place. Might be that simple, since you have the best internet in the world.
Unless you've already 'tried.'
