Brickmania minecraft server????

So i had this big idea recently where we would get (most) of the members that have left brickmania and the ones that are still on and we would have a get together on someones minecraft server; maybe even record the event. We would actually play and not use creative mod but do survival, create a currecny system, add mods, have a small town, all that good stuff . But the big question is who would host? I was honestly thinking Mega Bear because his computer probably has lots of ram. I suggest some time around spring break and when we are all on we would use steam chat. We could also invite some of our friends if not enough people show up.

This would be a great idea.

In fact, we should probably have a Minecraft sever running most of the time.

I cannot seem to find any good NON-PVP severs running.

I kinda want a private server though so that only members/friends know of it and so we can avoid griefers. But if all else fails then yes we will have to search for a quiet server that is a survival mode.

Having a server with mods we want would be really nice. Having buildings that have stain glass or having towns linked by railroads(train mod) would make the server feel more realistic.

I've never hosted but I can definitely try tomorrow. Though I bought Battlefield 3 an hour ago so I might be addicted for a while.

discussed hosting a server with one of my friends who can keep it up 24/7. May be a possibility but now i need mod requests for servers. Here is what i've suggested so far

*Gun Mod: Gotta have those ATV's
*Train mod: Connect vast city via railroads more modern feel
*stain glass: you get the idea

I found a private whitelisted server that one of my firends friend runs but now i need your minecraft names so post them

Wouldn't the client have to download those as well?

not that i think so but it doesnt really matter now
