Re: Mega Bear Mods
M14/Hunting Rifle as of now:
Obviously, it's still WIP because I need to color it, and get feedback from you guys. Anyone think I should change anything with the model?

That thing looks hot but I was going to say add extra stuff but I forgot it will only look like that until you add the stuff. Add some detail anyways.
Edit: wait it needs a handle thingy with grips.

Re: Mega Bear Mods
Finished the model. Just waiting for my MilkShape key to get emailed to me so I can sex it up then export to Blockland.

Re: Mega Bear Mods
Added a scope and made the stock look less odd. Not gonna upload pictures of such a small update, but it does look considerably better now. Also changed up some bevels to look more blocko. I'm seriously debating the whole "don't upload your first gun" rule at this point, because I really like how it's turning out.
EDIT: Uploading photo because this gun is sexually arousing me!

Re: Mega Bear Mods
Might wanna make the main barrel an octave. Also, add parallel lines just inside all the corners and edges so it somehow
resembles plates. Trust me, it'll look more detailed then.

Re: Mega Bear Mods
Nobody will be looking inside the barrel of the gun, so I doubt that will make a difference. If I add any more details, they will be on the exterior of the gun.S7UFF 1T N003 wrote:Might wanna make the main barrel an octave. /Facepalm.
I'm talking about the exterior for both aspects.

Re: Mega Bear Mods
It's the barrel of a Blockland gun. The way it looks now is perfectly fine, and the hexagonal shape is used by plenty of modellers.
In mapping news, Nasoa (author of "Ogygia", a pretty nice terrain map) has offered me a type of partnership, where I create some interiors, and he does the terrain and foliage placement. You may see some kind of collaboration in the future.
I also may be attending a $225 dollar modelling class. I think it's at OSU.

Re: Mega Bear Mods
I'm not going to make a big deal out of this, since I'm not one for announcing add-on projects. I'm going to make this project into an actual topic in Projects when I begin officially working on it.
Mega Bear's Science Fiction Gun Pack!
The guns will be divided into "classes" for futuristic TDMs. The reason I am going to begin working on this pack (not going to actually start it until I make better models, and have my MilkShape registration key) is because I feel Blockland has a stunning lack of good sci-fi weapons. Takato's set of Uber guns are good, especially the machine pistol he posted a pic of not too long ago, but they aren't plentiful enough. Ladios' lasers are very entertaining but not tiered very well. Aside from that there isn't a good pack of futuristic guns released. Please bear with my crappy adjetives for the following guns.
Guns:
• SF Pistol - Low damage, medium speed bullet, fast firing speed, medium accuracy.
• SF SMG - Low damage, fast bullet speed, automatic fast firing speed, low accuracy.
• SF Light Laser - Low damage, fast bullet speed, normal firing speed, decent accuracy.
• SF Assault Rifle - Medium damage, slow bullet speed, automatic and semi-auto medium firing speed, decent accuracy.
• SF Shotgun - Medium damage, slow bullet speed, semi-auto slow firing speed, bad accuracy.
• SF Laser - Medium damage, fast bullet speed, medium firing speed, pretty accurate.
• SF Sniper - High damage, high bullet speed, very low firing speed, very accurate.
• SF Grenade Launcher - High damage, high bullet speed, very slow firing speed, pretty accurate.
• SF Minigun - Low damage, high bullet speed, very fast automatic firing speed, bad accuracy.
EDIT: Yes I can teach you guys.

Extrude gave me some tips so I can script fairly well, but if I have questions (I'm pretty sure I will), I'll come to you.Gothboy77 wrote:I can't model, but if you need a good scripter I'm there for ya.

I showed it to Extrude and he says it is one of the best models he has ever seen.

Re: Mega Bear Mods
It won't reload, that requires animating. And it will appear in your hands, but hands won't be a part of the model.

Re: Mega Bear Mods
SF as in science fiction. All the guns will have the SF prefix so they can easily be found in the spawn menu and used for futuristic TDMs.
Working on the SF Assault Rifle right now.

Re: Mega Bear Mods
Nasoa and I are working on a secret mapping project. I'm making the interior, and he's doing terrain, the skybox, and maybe scripting.
